Do you accept insurance?

No. At this time, I only accept private pay. Accepted payment methods include debit card, credit card, and FSA/HSA cards. I can generate a superbill for a family for possible insurance reimbursement.

Do you charge a mileage fee?

If you live 30 miles or more from my residence, I charge a $15 roundtrip travel fee.

Where does therapy take place?

I offer in-home and in-school (as allowed) services. I also can provide teletherapy services in the state of Tennessee.

How long does a session typically last?

This is determined on a client-by-client basis. However, therapy sessions are either 30, 45, or 60 minutes long.

Does my child need an evaluation?

If your child has an initial evaluation from within the last year, no additional evaluation will be necessary.

Interesting name for your business...what does the word 'agape' mean?

Agape is the Greek word for the highest form of selfless, unconditional love. Not only a feeling of love. But, an intentional choice to deeply care for the well-being of others. I believe an 'agape' approach to speech therapy looks like meeting a child where they are at, taking the time to genuinely who they are, and moving forward with compassion, to where each child feels known, valued, and supported as they grow in their communication journey.
